FAQ

Q. Do you repair structural problems?

A. Yes and no. We fill and seal minor cracks and openings in your home to help prevent rodent and insect access for customers who are on a maintenance program. This value-added service is limited to service time and materials. Major structural deficiencies are not included and are the responsibility of the owner.

Q. Should I be concerned with Killer bees in New York?

A. No. According to most research, Africanized Honey Bees (commonly know as Killer Bees) do not instinctually “ball” as a hive to conserve warmth. Therefore, they cannot survive the extreme cold of New York winters like our native Honey Bees.

Q. I recently saw an ad on television warning of the dangers of Termites. Should I be concerned?

A. No. Upstate New York has a very small to almost nonexistent termite population. Termite infestations in upstate New York are extremely rare and are isolated incidents.

Q. Are the materials you apply harmful to my children or pets?

A. We take special care around children and pets. Whenever a technician is servicing your location, children and pets should be kept clear of the work area. Many tools, including ladders, caulk guns, vacuum cleaners, and small hand tools may be used during the service that small children and pets might find interesting. Through solid IPM (Integrated Pest Management) practices, the use of pesticides can be limited as much as possible. When an application is deemed necessary for the success of the service, it will be applied at the proper rate, using proper application techniques and equipment by a trained professional. This minimizes any risk of your family or pets coming in contact with the products.

Q. Does your service come with a guarantee?

A. Most of our services come with a Promise to Return Service Guarantee. This guarantee is your assurance that Du-Right Pest Control is committed to your total satisfaction. Ask your customer service representative for the guarantee that applies to your particular service.
