Stored Product PestsThe Stored Product Pests are often referred to as Pantry Pests because the pests in this group can be found infesting food products. However, many stored products, not just food products, can be susceptible to infestations by this group. Â The mites, beetles, flies, moths, and booklice which make up this family are separated into four groups based on their feeding habits: Internal feeders (granary and rice weevils, grain moths), External feeders (Indianmeal moths, cigarette beetles), Scavengers (flour beetles, sawtoothed grain beetles), and Secondary pests (yellow mealworms). |
